After a relaxing drive with great views on the Romantic Road, this day trip takes you to one of the oldest and largest castle complexes in southern Germany, Harburg Castle in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries.
The history of the impressive castle dates back to 1150, but the little town has much more to offer besides the castle complex: During a short walk, you can enjoy the flair there, visit various historical buildings and also marvel at geological features that were created by a meteorite impact in the Ries of Nördlingen.
Afterwards you will continue to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. There you will experience the medieval atmosphere of the town, stroll through the winding alleys, enjoy the excellent Franconian cuisine over lunch or go on a shopping tour through the numerous small, special specialty stores. Afterwards, the bus will take you back to Munich in a relaxed manner.
